Peace On Earth

Selah Pause and Calmly think of this…

Life is the art of drawing without an eraser! (Quote from a Hallmark movie.)

Oh so short is life. How fast it all goes by. Nature woos me to come and ponder and get away
from it all. It has accomplished, what we humans often lack, how to just be. We find peace in the
midst as it spreads to us in its surroundings. As I observe the ducks on the lake where I live, I
see they each have their place, their purpose. They seem to all get along but there is an order of
authority. The geese have their moments but they too find their way to harmonize with the other
birds of a feather. The best of it is they have so much fun honking and quacking and sliding into
the water.

The Samples say it well in one of their songs:
Nature it’s all around me
Nature I think it found me
I wonder where it starts
I wonder where it goes
Maybe in our hearts
Only nature knows.

Maybe we find such peace in our hearts in nature because it knows how to just live life and praise its creator?

Job 39:13-18
“The ostriches’ wings flap joyously with the pinion and plumage of love”

Ps 150:6
Let every living, breathing creature praise God! Hallelujah!

Psalm 96:11-12
“Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field
exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy”?

Luke 19:40
“I tell you, if we keep silent, the very stones would cry out.”

Isaiah 55:12
For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

The rocks cry out, the trees clap their hands, the mountains and forests sing, the earth rejoices,
the field exults and everything in it. If we, his children are not going to praise, then the rocks and
the trees will do it for us.

Isaiah 40:31 says we will mount up like eagles with new strength and run and not get tired if we
wait upon Him. Hmmm there is that just being again.

Colors on earth.

Ezekiel 17:3
Thus says the Lord GOD, “A great eagle with great wings, long pinions and a full plumage of
many colors came…

Genesis 1 says the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the water. 3 God said, “Let there
be light.” And there was light! 4 God saw that the light was good.

One scientist, Christopher Crockett says: Light is the electromagnetic spectrum describing all
the wavelengths of light. From dark nebulae to exploding stars, it reveals an otherwise invisible
universe.

It is often difficult to capture the true magnitude of these brilliant colors of nature on canvas. But
we can try and enjoy the process as we all are creators. For don’t we have the great creator in
whose image we are made?

I will conclude with this, even if you don’t believe in creation or the existence of an Almighty God
Creator, would you not to agree that nature is an amazing gift that we get to be part of everyday? How about Aurora Borealis Corridor? Is it not magnificent?

I hope to capture peace, humor, and beauty of nature in my art.

I wish for you to take time each day and stop and breath in the beauty and refreshment of nature.

With peaceful regards.
